If you're coming all the way to CT from across the country (which I know a lot of you are!) you may as well rent a car and soak in all the charm that is New England.

In New Haven, be sure to check out our local favorite attractions including Yale (especially the infamous Skull and Bones society), the world famous Pepe's Pizza on Wooster St or another favorite of ours: Chicken & Mashed Potato pizza from Bar Bru Room. And for some local scenic beauty, head over to Lighthouse point.

There are a few nice hotels in New Haven proper, but my personal favorite hotel in the area is the
Hyatt Place in Milford, CT. It has a Starbucks counter as the check in desk... need I say more?! The rooms are super nice, it has a phenomenal breakfast, great pool & workout area. We lived in it for two weeks once when our house wasn't done and I miss it often! :) It is about 15-20 minutes from our house.

Other local hotels include:
The Study at Yale
The New Haven Hotel
The Omni

There are two local airports in CT. The first one, New Haven Tweed (HVN), is literally two blocks from us. But because it only has one flight to/from Philly it can be more expensive.

The other airport is Hartford Bradley (BDL) which is usually cheaper but about an hour away and would require renting a car.

JFK, LGA, and EWR are options as well, and are all about a two hour drive.
